Summary:
We are seeking a reliable, organized HR Generalist / Payroll Coordinator with strong administrative and communication skills. The ideal candidate will be able to work in a fast-paced environment and have experience with conflict management, decision-making, employee relations, staffing management, and payroll/benefit administration.
Responsibilities Include, but are not limited to:
- Administer payroll processing biweekly, maintaining time and attendance recording and paid time off benefits
- Process company compensation and benefits programs including annual insurance enrollments
- Maintain compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment or any other HR related policies and procedures
- Audit timecards, employee deductions, benefit enrollments
- Onboarding processing paperwork for new employees along with offboarding departing employees
- Respond to Unemployment Claims and initiating and follow through of Worker’s Compensation claims
- Provide day-to-day employee relations and performance counseling
- Assure fair and consistent administration of all human resource policies and practices
- Assist department managers with resolution of any employee concerns
- Communicate various human resource policies, procedures, laws, standards, and governmental regulations
- Process company compensation and benefits programs including annual insurance enrollments
- Conduct new hire orientation and any other necessary on-boarding activities
- Maintain accurate records within payroll system and prepare any necessary reports
- May be involved in investigating employee related issues and/or concerns
- Performing any recruitment activities which include posting open positions, reviewing resumes, screening applicants as well as setting up/coordinating any interviews with hiring manager
- Managing Employee Housing, including coordinating employee room assignments, housekeeping needs, preparing lease agreements, rent collection, and following up on maintenance requests
- Assisting Accounting office with office tasks, reporting and other functions as needed
- Maintaining confidentiality
Qualifications:
- 3 to 5 years of HR Manager experience, preferably in a hospitality environment
- Microsoft Office & QuickBooks knowledge
- 10 Key data entry
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Bilingual Spanish is a plus!
- Must have good listening and speaking skills to communicate with employees about sensitive matters
- Knowledge of labor laws (both federal and state)
- Must be approachable with a positive attitude
- Strong organizational skills and strong attention to detail
