DC Engineering is currently seeking a Revit drafter/designer for our structural engineering department working from our Meridian, Idaho office.
*We will also consider remote work situations for qualified candidates who live outside the Boise area.
The ideal candidate should have education/training in Revit drafting software and 2+ years of work experience, strong communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment. Candidates who have formal Revit training in lieu of 2 years of work experience will also be considered.
General job duties will include modeling/drafting structural construction drawings (foundation, floor framing, roof framing, details, etc.). Duties will also include coordinating with architectural, civil and MEP construction drawings.
Required Skills/Experience:
- Education and/or work experience using Revit drafting software
- 2+ years of Revit design work experience is preferred, will consider formal Revit drafting software training/certificate program in lieu of work experience.
- Ability to implement structural design components, codes, and standards
- Experience with wood construction/apartment projects (preferred).
- Ability to implement structural design components, codes, and standards.
- Experience using general office systems such as MS Office, Adobe, Bluebeam, etc.
- Ability to effectively communicate with team members and clients.
- Ability to work individually as well as part of a team.
- Ability to help develop and meet project design goals as defined by supervisor.
