Position Summary: The Department of Theology, Philosophy and Biblical Languages is seeking a full-time faculty position to begin August 1, 2024. Responsibilities include teaching, advising, curriculum development and service to the university. The position will have responsibility for teaching and study in areas of Biblical studies and Theology within and on behalf of the Department. The candidate will be a minister of religion-ordained and in good standing on the roster of The Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod.
General Duties:
- Teach classes in all areas of Biblical studies and Theology.
- Engage in departmental planning, course and program assessment, curriculum development, student advising and assistance with student recruitment.
- Remain current in areas of teaching responsibilities.
- Provide service to the university and the church.
- Complete other general faculty responsibilities.
- Participates in campus activities and serves on faculty and institutional committees, as assigned.
- Other general faculty duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Ph.D. preferred; Ph.D. candidates with dissertation in process may be considered.
- Evidence of excellence in teaching.
- Ability to use Blackboard and/or other current instructional technologies.
- Commitment to Concordia University, Nebraska's mission of Lutheran Christ-centered higher education required.
- Minister of Religion ordained and in good standing on the roster of The Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod required.
