Job Overview:
We are seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our team. As a vital member of our healthcare facility, you will work under the supervision of licensed occupational therapists to provide rehabilitative services to patients. Duties:
- Implement treatment plans developed by occupational therapists to help patients achieve their therapy goals
- Assist patients with therapeutic exercises and activities to improve motor skills and daily living activities
- Monitor and document patient progress during therapy sessions
- Collaborate with the therapy team to create individualized care plans
- Educate patients and their families on techniques for continued improvement at home
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- Current certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
- Experience or knowledge in areas such as acute care, Home health, geriatrics, occupational health, is preferred
- Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
