Position: Sales Account Manager
Salary: Up to $75k DOE, Uncapped Commission & Vehicle Allowance
Location: Montgomery, AL
Job Summary:
Efforts will be focused on growing existing business and developing new customer prospects by leveraging relationships with key suppliers, sales support, and maximizing their value proposition through a value-based solution selling approach. Additionally, the Account Manager is expected to develop relationships with key decision makers in the procurement process to generate incremental opportunities with existing and complimentary product lines.
The candidate will represent the entire range of company products and services to assigned territories, while establishing and maintaining relationships with staff across departments. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Schedule daily work to maximize the number of sales calls made each day while arranging contingency plans in the event of cancelled appointments
- Prospect and forecast on monthly basis
- Review and analyze various sales reports utilizing MS Excel to identify sales potential at accounts and potential new customers within a territory
- Upsell and cross sell our existing customers with new products and services, and increase share of wallet
- Actively maintain and update CRM to include customer visits, contact information, pipeline management
- Develop a business plan and sales strategy outlining steps to drive market penetration, exceed sales and profitability goals
- Initiate the selling activities within the territory, inclusive of resource deployment and customer interactions
- Initiate and coordinate development of action plans to penetrate new markets
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes, and ensure that they are communicated and implemented within the team
- Work closely with Regional Sales Manager on special projects and strategy execution

- Able to work in fast-paced entrepreneurial environment
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Highly proficient level computer skills including MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook
- Highly energetic and self-starter
- Decision-making, problem resolution, and creative thinking skills
- Able to multi-task activities with shifting priorities
- Should be honest, assertive, and systematic
- Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements
- Self-motivated to meet specific sales goals
- Understand margin, profitability, and other relevant business principles
- Able to communicate effectively with customers and senior management
- Outstanding listening, presentation, follow up, and closing skills
