We are looking for an Accounting Clerk in Sanford, FL!

Temp, ASAP role
Duties:

Tracks and reviews budget versus actual performance; collects, reviews and summarizes accounting data; performs purchasing and accounts payable functions; maintains and audits daily revenue process.

Conducts pre-audits and post-audits by examining and verifying invoices, vouchers, records, funds and account numbers. Prepares purchase requisitions and invoices for payments and maintains pertinent records.

Reviews, inputs and tracks procurements, purchase orders, change orders and contract requests.

Work is performed in accordance with established policies and procedures under the guidance and supervision of assigned supervisor.

Requires a fundamental knowledge of accounting processes, financial systems and spreadsheet applications is a must.

The above duties may vary slightly based on the work area assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
-
An Associate’s Degree in Accounting, Business, or related field and 3 years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Public Administration preferred.
- A comparable amount of education, training, or experience may be substituted for the minimum qualifications.

Requires a fundamental knowledge of accounting processes, financial systems and spreadsheet applications.

Ability to apply accounting procedures to practical applications, including analyzing and evaluating accounting data; follow detailed oral and written instructions; and organize work and provide technical assistance to other personnel.
- Ability to research information, draw conclusions and make recommendations for improvement.
- Ability to present ideas clearly both orally and in writing.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment that requires the incumbent to be sensitive to change and responsible to changing goals, priorities, and needs.

Ability to utilize Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Additional software experience in JD Edwards and Naviline Utilities System is preferred.

Must possess and maintain a valid Florida Driver’s License.

All employees must attend Seminole County Required Trainings.
