*Essential Functions and Responsibilities*
* Collaborates with VP of Sales in establishing and recommending the most realistic sales goals for Territory Managers in their area of responsibility.
* Manages the Territory Managers within an assigned geographic sales area to maximize sales revenues and meet corporate objectives.
* Establishes and manages effective programs to coach, appraise, train, discipline, and counsel Territory Managers.
* Performs sales activities with and without Territory Managers in major accounts in consultation with VP of Sales.
* Accurately forecasts annual, quarterly and monthly sales within their defined geographic area.
* Develops and implements strategies to ensure sales growth within their assigned geographic area.
* Responsible for reviewing Territory Managers sales activity on a periodic basis no less than quarterly to ensure the implementation of Pace sales review guidelines.
* Ensures implementation of all sales policies, practices and procedures.
* Assists sales personnel in establishing personal contact and rapport with dealers.
* Collaborates with VP of Sales to develop sales strategies to improve market share in all product lines.
* Cooperates and participates in sales team education by implementing Pace programs/seminars in the areas of new account sales and growth, sales of emerging products and multi-product sales, profitability, improved presentation strategies, competitive strategies, proper use and level of sales support, management of expenses and business/financial issues on contracts.
* Maintains professional conduct and appearance through all interactions while representing Pace to customers, vendors, and dealers.
* Understands annual booking requirements and exhibits competency with utilizing booking forms.
* Keeps abreast of product applications, technical services, market conditions, advertising and promotional trends through the reading of pertinent literature.
* Expedites the resolution of customer complaints by investigating problems and developing solutions.
* Coordinates sales and support efforts with marketing, sales management, accounting, logistics and technical service groups.
*Job Requirements and Qualifications*
* Competencies and Skills: Ability to meet sales goals and close a sale, ability to prospect, strong presentation skills, maintain client relationships, possess a motivation for sales, strong organizational and multitasking ability, resourceful, and prioritizes work effectively, problem-solving and analytical skills to interpret sales performance and market trend information, proven ability to motivate and lead a sales team, experience in developing marketing and sales strategies, and excellent written communication skills.
* Required Education and Experience: High school diploma or GED equivalent, a minimum of five years of sales management experience demonstrating the above stated requirements. Working knowledge of Microsoft Suite programs.
* Preferred Education and Experience: Relevant product knowledge and a Bachelors degree in a related field to include business, marketing, etc.
*Other Requirements*
Additional Hours Worked/Travel: This position requires overnights and travel throughout the territory and outside states for meetings/conventions when necessary. Available to work weekend/evening schedules to assist with dealer open houses and dealer shows which the dealers participate in.
