MA's, LPN's and RN's are an essential component of WholeHealth Chicago’s clinical staff. Our clinical team allows providers to be more effective and efficient. They excel at anticipating provider needs and have a general willingness to be helpful regarding all clinical and administrative responsibilities. Their duties are critical to overall efficiency and to patient outcomes and satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- MA’s, LPN's and RN's report directly to the Clinical Supervisor
- Perform nursing procedures under supervision of providers including but not limited to IM injections, starting IV’s, venipuncture, finger stick, throat swabs, and suture removals (duties assigned to licensure scope of practice)
- Assist providers in exam rooms as needed
- Escort patients to exam rooms, interviews patients on follow up visits, measure vital signs, (including weight, blood pressure, pulse, temperature), and document all information in patient’s chart
- Give instructions to patients as instructed by provider
- Ensure all related reports, labs, imaging, and information is filed and available in patients’ medical records prior to their appointment
- Keep exam rooms stocked with adequate medical supplies, maintain instruments, prepare sterilization as required
- Take telephone messages and provide feedback and answers to patient/provider/pharmacy/lab/imaging calls
- Triage and process messages from patients and patient services staff to providers
- Maintain all logs and required checks (i.e. “crash cart”, emergency medications, expired medications, oxygen, sterilization, etc.)
- Other duties may be assigned by the Clinical Supervisor.
