Basic Function:
The primary role of the Homebuilding Administrator is to administer all housing starts for their assigned communities. The incumbent must also provide administrative support for the VP of Construction and the Builders for the communities and NHS they support as well as general office support as assigned.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Request plot plans
- Request manual J, Res checks, flood certificates, etc. where required.
- Assist with acquiring all documentation, checks and approvals required to secure in a timely manner all grading, office and building permits for housing starts.
- Prepare and distribute all housing start packages
- Enter Pre-construction, Pre-drywall, and Pre-settlement forms into internal database.
- Provide general office support as required.
- Generate and maintain all master house files from contract receipt through ratification and up to house start.
- Facilitate the collection and reporting of Corporate level Supplier/Sub-Contractor programs as required
- Manage and maintain designated purchasing/estimating databases to ensure consistency and best demonstrated purchasing practices among all Divisions.
- Audit Division level processes and files, to insure consistency with Corporate guidelines.
- Assist in managing and implementing Corporate level purchasing initiatives.
- Maintain Drive Thru and Common Area information, as assigned.
- Assist, as requested, with accounts payable and purchasing.
- Perform other duties, as assigned.
Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience in residential permitting process required
- Experience in permitting of townhomes preferred
- Work in office environment
- Be a team player
- Perform with little to no direct supervision
- Multi-tasker
- Must be Detail Orientated and Organized
- Able to prioritize tasks accordingly and meet deadlines
