**Job Title:** Senior Claims Adjuster
**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Claims Adjuster to join our team. As a Senior Claims Adjuster, you will be responsible for investigating, negotiating, and settling complex claims related to workers' compensation. Your role will involve analyzing claims, providing exceptional customer service, and implementing fraud prevention detection measures.
**Responsibilities:**
- Investigate and evaluate complex workers' compensation claims
- Negotiate settlements with claimants, attorneys, and other involved parties
- Utilize knowledge of workers' compensation law to ensure compliance and accuracy in claims processing
- Analyze claim information to determine coverage and liability
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing all inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally
- Utilize organizational skills to manage a high volume of claims efficiently
- Utilize client specific software to process payments and maintain accurate claim records
- Implement fraud prevention detection measures to safeguard against fraudulent claims
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate claims processing
- Calculate and manage reserves, benefits and claim payments through life of the claim
- Manage claim recoveries; subrogation, SIF, Social Security and Medicare offsets.
- Prepare necessary state filings
- Manage litigation process.
- Coordinate vendor referrals for additional investigation, large loss, ligitation management
- Properly document and code claims, including reporting to excess carriers
- Escalate claims as needed
**Experience:**
- Proven experience in negotiating settlements and handling complex workers' compensation claims
- In-depth knowledge of Alaska workers' compensation law and regulations
- Ability to communicate effectively with various parties.
- Proficiency in analyzing claim information and determining coverage and liability
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Experience working with multiple claims management software
- Familiarity with fraud prevention detection techniques
- Ability to investigate and gather information to determine exposure
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $61,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
