Director of Procurement, New Pig Corporation
We’re currently looking for a reliable, full-time Procurement Director who will be responsible for leading and optimizing procurement operations. New Pig Corporation revolutionized industrial leak and spill management forever with its Pig Original Absorbent Sock in 1985. Since then, we’ve been solving customers’ tough liquid control problems and leading the industry through innovation and expertise. The PIG brand reaches over 300,000 customers in 100 countries on all seven continents. Our continued growth has created an exciting and emerging opportunity for this strategic leadership position. It requires someone with a solid understanding of and experience with procurement processes, supply chain management, strategic sourcing plans, and building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers, contractors and internal stakeholders. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the availability of quality materials while driving cost efficiency and supporting our organization’s growth.
Duties & Responsibilities

Collaborate with executive leadership to establish procurement strategies aligned with the company's overall objectives, ensuring effective sourcing and procurement of materials, components and services

Responsible for making final decisions within delegated authorization levels on administrative or operational matters and ensure effective achievement of objectives

Design structure of procurement team that meets the company’s current and future requirements

Build a strong team through planning, staffing, budgeting, managing expense priorities, and recommending and implementing changes to methods

Works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth knowledge of the company, its operations and its technical requirements

Oversee the identification, evaluation and selection of suppliers, negotiating favorable terms and conditions, and maintaining productive, long-term relationships to ensure a stable supply chain

Monitor market trends, engage in price negotiations and implement cost-saving initiatives while remaining mindful of supplier relationships, quality and delivery

Understand the risks in the supply chain, seek and implement solutions to mitigate those risks as much as possible

Lead contract negotiations, review and manage vendor contracts, regularly monitor supplier quality, monitor contract compliance and track contract renewal timelines.

Work closely with manufacturing, product development, quality assurance, IT and other teams to understand their requirements, align procurement strategies and ultimately support New Pig’s mission and customers

Provide strong leadership and mentorship to the procurement team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration and professional development

Assess and predict the needs of the organization to build innovative systems, processes and capabilities to New Pig’s business needs

Drive continuous improvement activities to ensure problems are proactively identified and prevented and that issues are resolved efficiently and sustainably

Ensure the processes and systems are maintained in an audit and inspection-ready state
Required Qualifications:

A minimum of 10 years of experience in procurement and/or supply chain, preferably in a manufacturing and/or merchandising environment

Demonstrated competencies in procurement and supply chain principles; logistics (domestic and international); inventory and warehouse management principles; project management and root cause analysis.

Demonstrated interpersonal skills in the areas of conflict resolution, change management, negotiations and effective listening & communications.

Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and develop strong business partner relationships

Ability to manage and lead in a fast-pace, high-change environment

Demonstrated leadership experience building and leading high performing planning and procurement teams and related operations

Proven ability to carry out difficult decisions in a logical, rational manner

Demonstrated ability to make recommendations to executive leadership on complex decisions

Bachelor’s degree in procurement, supply chain management, business or closely related field of study required or substantial relevant experience in lieu of formal education

Knowledge and experience with ERP systems and process tools
