The Kids Doctor is looking for a Board Certified Pediatrician to join our team!! Possible partnership available after TWO years! We are a well established and busy (average 4 pts hourly) Pediatricians office in North Tampa who has been serving the Bay Areas children for over 30 years.
Job Duties include The Pediatrician will examine and treat infant and adolescent patients and help in preventing diseases and illness complications. Essential Functions and Responsibilities Conduct regular thorough examinations on newborns and young children to check and record their health and normal physical development Examine sick children to determine their condition and ask intuitive questions to gather information about symptoms Reach an informed diagnosis based on scientific knowledge and individual medical history Prescribe medications and give detailed instructions for administration Prescribe and interpret appropriate lab tests to gain more information for possible infections or abnormalities Prepare and administer vaccines according to the governmental vaccination plan Examine and treat injuries and refer the little patients to physicians of other disciplines when necessary (e.g. surgeons, ophthalmologists, orthopedists etc.) Evaluate and treat such conditions as ADHD, Autism and other behavioral issues. Advise parents on children’s diet, exercise and disease preventive measures Keep updated records of patients’ illnesses, surgeries or other medical episodes (allergic shocks, injuries etc.) Keep abreast of advancements in pediatrics and best practices by attending seminars and conferences Other duties as assigned. May supervise ARNP or PA.
Office Hours include Monday through Friday 8a-6p closed from 12-1pm lunch. Physician will be seeing patients 36-40 hours weekly. On call schedule rotates between you and the other providers. NO HOSPITAL rounds or new baby nursery rounds. We want to make this a fun comfortable place for you to practice and also be able to enjoy your families and downtime so we are flexible with work schedules as long as the patients have the best coverage possible!
Job Requirements: Strong written and oral communication skills, organizational skills, and attention to detail Self-motivated with minimal oversight Computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook and EHR programs. (Intergy) Education and/or Experience Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.). Graduate from an accredited medical school, board certified Successful completion of an internship and residency program which has been approved by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education. Current, active, license to practice medicine Successful completion of an accredited Family Medicine Residency with 2 years or more of experience. Must have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986.
