Mechanics needed for all levels of repair on mixer and aggregate trucks. We have openings at our Aubrey & Farmersville locations.
Diesel Mechanics collaborate with other repair team members to ensure a vehicle is safely and efficiently operating to the driver’s needs.
Duties & Responsibilities:
· Inspects, diagnoses, and repairs diesel-powered vehicles and machines, like trucks, forklifts, and trailers.
· Running diagnostic tests on vehicles.
· Preparing work orders & plans after fully scoping out the issues
· Replacing the vehicles’ engine, transmission, steering mechanism, or braking system.
· Test driving vehicles to determine if they properly fixed the maintenance issue.
· Field repairs in case of an emergency or sudden breakdowns.
· Maintaining records of parts inventory & serviced vehicles.
Skills & Qualifications:
· Advanced knowledge of a vehicle, its electrical system, and the mechanisms of a diesel engine.
· In-depth knowledge of diesel engine components and operational mechanisms.
· Superior knowledge of maintenance tools and repair equipment.
· Comfortable using mechanical and electrical power tools.
· Excellent problem-solving skills.
· Strong attention to detail.
· Basic knowledge of computer systems and other relevant electronics.
· Proficiency in the use of diesel engine diagnostic software.
· A valid driver’s license.
· Good interpersonal skills.
· Effective collaboration and communication skills.
· Work well under time constraints.
· Work well with group and team members.
· The ability to read and process written instructions.
· Conflict resolution.
Education & Training:
· Minimum education requirement is a high school diploma or GED.
· Certification & training in diesel engine repair from a vocational school or community college OR 4-5 years of industry experience.
Physical Requirements:
· Ability to use hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools continually.
· Exposure to hazardous conditions / materials.
· Ability to work in loud / distracting environments.
· Ability to lift 50-60 lbs.
· Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time.
· Wearing personal protective equipment.
· Ability to work in cramped workspaces or awkward positions.
· Ability to work in various environmental temperatures / exposure to foul weather.
· Ability to bend, twist, kneel, crouch, stoop, or crawl for prolonged periods of time.
· Pass drug screening and fit for duty test.

Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 55 per week
