Overview:

We are looking to hire a talented and highly motivated Controller. Reporting to the General Manager, the Controller will play a critical role in strategic decision making and operations as the company continues to grow in revenue and capacity. The successful candidate will be a hands-on, servant leader who will lead the Finance and Accounting Teams. A successful track record in setting priorities; as well as excellent analytic, organization, and communication skills is a must.

Responsibilities:

As the Controller, you will be responsible for supervising the accounting department, which will include establishing and maintaining organizational structure and staffing as well as selecting, training and mentoring of accounting staff, as needed. In addition, the Controller is responsible for the following:

- Responsible for timely, accurate and efficient accounting close on a monthly basis.
- Ensure accuracy of the asset inventory and value on an annual basis.
- Manages accounting functions on a day-to-day basis including invoicing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, procurement and general ledger accounting.
- Perform technical accounting issue research and resolution as necessary.
- Assists the GM and ownership with preparation and completion of the fiscal year budgeting process, evaluates performance against budget, and develops forecasts/reforecasts to provide an accurate projection of financial performance.*
*Financial Reporting
- Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with US GAAP
- Supervises the preparation of the monthly management financial reporting package, including profitability and variance reports
- Manages the financial audit process performed by our independent CPA firm.*
*Internal Controls
- Develops, analyzes, documents and implements internal controls for all fiscal aspect of the business.
- Develops, maintains and enhances accounting and finance policies, processes and procedures to comply with US GAAP.
- Seeks continuous improvement by creating new policies and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness of the accounting group.*

- Responsible for local, state and federal tax compliance and reporting (including payroll, property and sales and use tax compliance and reporting).
- Manages preparation of municipal and regulatory filings.
- Manages debt covenant reporting.
- Establishes and implements short and long-range accounting department goals, objectives, policies and procedures.
- Manages projects and initiatives as assigned.

Qualifications:
*
*
- Experience with a high growth company.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
- Management experience building and leading accounting teams.
- General ledger and other accounting systems experience.
- Active CPA license a plus.
- Keen strategist with team centered approach and measured accountabilities
- Budget management and financial acumen
- Capable of making significant business decisions with professional communication practices
- Excellent interpersonal and team building skills.
- Proven conflict management skills. Composed in high stress, high deliverable environments
- Effective problem-solving skills including decision-making, time management, and task prioritization
- Very Organized and detail oriented
- 5 years experience reporting all factors of a P&L
- Industry knowledge is preferred

Pay: $105,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
