Job Description:
Position Overview: As the Quality Manager for our ISO 9001 and AS9100 certified manufacturing company specializing in titanium products, you will be responsible for overseeing and ensuring the implementation, maintenance, and continual improvement of our quality management systems. You will play a crucial role in upholding our commitment to excellence, meeting regulatory requirements, and exceeding customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Quality Management System (QMS) Leadership:
· Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of our ISO 9001 and AS9100 certified quality management systems.
· Ensure compliance with all relevant industry standards, regulations, and customer requirements.
· Drive a culture of quality excellence throughout the organization by promoting awareness, training, and continuous improvement initiatives.
2. Quality Assurance and Control:
· Develop and enforce quality control procedures and inspection protocols to monitor product quality at every stage of the manufacturing process.
· Conduct regular audits, assessments, and evaluations to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective and preventive actions as necessary.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality-related issues, address non-conformities, and implement effective corrective measures.
3. Supplier Quality Management:
· Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring their adherence to quality standards and specifications.
· Conduct supplier audits, performance evaluations, and quality assessments to drive supplier improvement initiatives and mitigate risks in the supply chain.
4. Customer Satisfaction and Feedback:
· Act as the primary point of contact for customer quality inquiries, concerns, and feedback.
· Coordinate with sales, customer service, and engineering teams to address customer requirements, resolve issues, and enhance customer satisfaction.
· Implement mechanisms for capturing and analyzing customer feedback to drive product and process improvements.
5. Continuous Improvement Initiatives:
· Champion a culture of continuous improvement by facilitating quality improvement projects, lean initiatives, and Six Sigma methodologies.
· Utilize data-driven analysis and statistical techniques to identify opportunities for efficiency gains, waste reduction, and quality enhancement.
· Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to quality, analyze trends, and develop action plans to achieve operational excellence.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- Certification(s) in quality management (e.g., ASQ Certified Quality Manager, Six Sigma Black Belt) is highly desirable.
- Proven experience (minimum 5 years) in quality management roles within manufacturing, preferably in aerospace or high-precision industries.
- In-depth knowledge of ISO 9001 and AS9100 quality management systems, standards, and requirements.
- Strong leadership abilities with excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in quality tools and methodologies (e.g., FMEA, SPC, Root Cause Analysis) and quality management software systems.
- Experience in supplier quality management, auditing, and risk assessment.
- Ability to drive change, foster collaboration, and lead cross-functional teams towards quality objectives.
