Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Lead Cabinetmaker with strong scheduling, computer skills, and CNC machine operation knowledge or a willingness to learn. This key position will play a vital role in our workshop, scheduling and working on cabinetry and ensuring projects are completed and delivered on time and to high quality standards. Responsibilities:
- Efficient use of resources, tools, and equipment
- Schedule and prioritize projects, taking into account deadlines, resources, and client requirements
- Create, read, and interpret detailed drawings, blueprints, and specifications
- Utilize CNC machinery to produce high-quality custom cabinetry and woodworking components
- Collaborate with the design and sales teams to ensure accurate project execution
- Train and mentor junior cabinetmakers, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workshop, adhering to all safety protocols
- Continually evaluate and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and quality
- Communicate effectively with team members, management, and clients to ensure project success
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in custom cabinetmaking or woodworking
- Strong knowledge of cabinetmaking techniques, materials, and tools
- Experience with CNC machinery operation or a willingness to learn
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite and preference with CNC experience.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and multitask effectively
- Strong attention to detail, ensuring high-quality and precise work
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- A team player who thrives in a collaborative work environment
- A valid driver's license and reliable transportation
