Responsibilities
- Collaborate with sales and operations teams to gain accurate demand needs and generates system purchase orders (PO)
- Communicate with suppliers (domestic and international) to convey order and packaging details
- Obtain order status from suppliers and update PO status in ERP
- Lead purchasing functions including but not limited to sourcing strategies, risk mitigation, supplier management, and purchase-price negotiations
- Oversee importing and ensure compliance with international trade regulations, such as customs regulations, import/export restrictions, and trade agreements
- Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, KPI’s, and purchasing systems
- Analyze supplier quotes and recommend purchasing decision based on the organization’s needs
- Identify and propose initiatives to reduce costs, optimize processes, and increase efficiency
- Monitor the performance of suppliers, assessing their ability to meet quality and delivery requirements
- Ability to travel up to 25%, both domestic and international, as needed to remediate a variety of issues
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Distribution, Logistics, Business, or related field of study
- 3-5 years of purchasing, commodity, or supplier management experience
- APICS or CSCP certification preferred
- SAP S/4 HANA experience preferred
- Experience working in consumer goods and/or foodservice industries is preferred

- Comprehensive understanding of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, supply chain theory, concepts, and Excel

- Displays a positive attitude and team support
- Ability to effectively speak and write in both English and Chinese, a plus
