Job Summary:
We are seeking a solution-oriented, customer service-focused individual to join our front desk team. This position primarily covers evening shifts and offers an hourly rate starting at $15. The ideal candidate is organized, enjoys the structure of day-to-day operations, and values building relationships and rapport with our clients. Our front desk position requires a balance between interacting with clients in the salon as well as addressing incoming phone calls, text messages, and emails. Individual must be able to face conflict with patience and professionalism.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Customer Relations: Be the first face clients see upon entering the salon, greet and welcome clients warmly, offer beverages/assist with inquiries.
- Administrative Tasks: Re-stock shelves, check inventory. Respond to client text messages, answer phone calls, and reply to emails. Provide information about services, products, and the booking process.
- Assist with maintaining the salon: laundry, dishes, sweeping, and replenishing the beverage station.
- Appointment Management: Manage booking, confirming, canceling, and rescheduling of appointments. Notify and reschedule clients promptly when a stylist must call in. Efficiently communicate delays to both clients and stylists.
- Financial and Inventory Management: Adjust tickets, make drawer entries, enter gift certificates, and check product stock. Ensure accurate payment processing and drawer accuracy.
- Problem Solving: Work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Look for solutions when conflicts arise, utilizing resources and teamwork. Communicate with our second location, Salon St. Louis, for product and client availability.
- Creativity and Brand Engagement: Design posters for product or service specials using tools like Canva, engage in building our brand through social media posts.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Highly organized and enjoys structured day-to-day operations.
- Comfortable using computers and POS systems.
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
- Creative skills, interest in graphic design, social media, and branding.
