Process Engineer

TUBACEX GROUP is currently looking for a Process Engineer at our Greenville, Pennsylvania facility. Tubacex Group is one of the leading producers of seamless, stainless steel tubing products in the world. Operating in a 185,000 square foot facility, Salem Tube utilizes weld mills and cold draw benches to produce stainless steel and nickel alloy tubing from 1/8” to 2” od in over twenty-five different alloys that meet the highest quality standards.

Job Duties:
- Verify allocated material will fit reductions necessary to manufacture the final product.
- Create mill order method of production, called a process routing, showing the production steps to follow to efficiently produce a quality product.
- Delivers completed routers to Quality for review.
- Provides feedback to:
- IT for system improvements;
- Quality concerning process recommendations to improve product quality;
- Production for process related improvements driving better quality or greater productivity;
- Maintenance concerning improvements to increase uptime or to
- Drive predictive/preventive maintenance improvements
- Drive large engineering projects, assisting Director of Maintenance & Engineering to keep them on track and within budget.
- Assist in justifications for engineering projects, proving they are economically justified prior to committing capital dollars.
- Drives TxPS efforts with time available after router designs and engineering project work.
- Assists with data problems within TxPS files for shift meetings
- Provides continuity in Day Meeting with department managers
- Coordinates and drives SMED efforts where needed
- Uses data to provide feedback to managers with recommendations to improve
- Provides feedback to upper management on changes and data trends
- Assist in focusing the management team on areas of improvement through data
- Use data to prove results
Requirements:
- BS in Mechanical/Electrical/Industrial Engineering
- Experience in processes and procedures in cold drawn tubing industry
- Computer literacy in Excel/Word/Power Point;
- Open to further training in systems as they progressively improve over time.
- Must possess the innate drive to improve processes and procedures without direction, and be able to communicate the need and work with the team to get results.
- Must be team player with good communication skills, to work with cross-functionally with all levels of the organization, domestically and abroad.
