Job Summary: This position is responsible for providing high-quality meats, fish, and services to our members. This position will perform quality inspections, use knives, saws, and other tools to cut meat and fish down into smaller portions, weigh, package and label cuts.
Brief Description of Job Duties:
- Cutting, grinding, and preparing meats and fish
- Cleaning and maintaining tools and equipment
- Weighing, date, and storage of meat and fish
- Performing quality inspections on meats and fish
- Adhering to food safety and sanitation controls
- Adheres to state and local health and safety regulations
- Maintains the highest sanitary conditions
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Chef
Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Education in food preparation
- Meat cutting experience
- Ability to use hand tools, stand or walk for extending periods, lift heavy items, and work in cold environments
- Knowledge of meat preparation techniques and cuts
Education & Experience:
- Minimum high school education or equivalent
- 3 or more years’ experience
