We are seeking an ideal candidate to support our project team by handling project documentation, job cost accounting, scheduling, and construction supervision. The successful candidate will need to be adept at managing multiple tasks that require diverse skills and prioritize them effectively.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Assist in negotiating Subcontracts and Purchase Orders, and manage other purchasing activities.
- Maintain the project schedule when a Scheduling Engineer is unavailable.
- Coordinate on-site activities of vendors and subcontractors with the Project Superintendent. Assist in preparing and distributing 3-week look-ahead schedules and weekly subcontractor meeting minutes.
- Manage shop drawing logs, conduct reviews, and update Submittal logs.
- Maintain and update logs for contract change orders.
- Support the Project Manager in developing Change Proposals for client submission.
- Obtain cost estimates from subcontractors and vendors for contract change order estimates.
- Assist in negotiating contract change orders.
- Communicate with architects/engineers and consulting engineers, reviewing shop drawings, resolving queries, clarifying contract details, and maintaining project progress.
- Ensure installed work complies with Contract Documents and facilitates correct installation of subsequent work.
- Review invoices from vendors and subcontractors with the Superintendent for accuracy, processing them in accounting software.
- Assist in preparing Estimates-to-Complete, project budgets, and cash flow projections.
- Support overall project control efforts alongside the Project Manager and Project Superintendent.
- Monitor site-specific safety programs in strict accordance with the Company’s Safety/Loss Control Program.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience in the construction field.
- Knowledge of pump station work is essential.
- Familiarity with construction techniques across civil disciplines, project administration, project management, and project scheduling.
- Proficiency in Procore.
- Understanding of safety regulations including OSHA, environmental regulations, and compliance with Federal, State, and Local agencies.
Preferred Skills and Training:
- OSHA 30 Certification.
- CPR/First Aid Certification.
- COE QCM Certification.
