- Coordinate with customer and Project manager for job kickoff meetings
- On-site manager of day-to-day activities of the construction operation
- Have working knowledge of budget
- Give P.E. daily quantities that have been signed off by owner representative
- Take daily notes and email all verbal correspondents of any issues discussed in the field.
- Take daily pictures and have P.E. download into project file
- Attend weekly project meetings
- Schedule Pre, Post and monthly topo of job
- Work with C.O.O. to set manpower levels and equipment needed for each phase of work
- Work with P.E. on submittal schedule and make sure submittals are accepted before work is performed.
- Work with owner's representative to ensure work complies with plans, specifications, and schedule
- Call all utility locates in and update every 30 days as needed
- Have working knowledge of owner contract, subcontracts, and purchase orders.
- Work with the P.E. to Enter time daily with the proper phase codes and cost codes
- Work with the P.E. to create the Weekly and Monthly schedule in accordance with contract documents
- Work with Project Manager and Project Engineer to plan the construction sequencing, material quantities and work schedules in accordance with contract documents
- Monitor equipment usage and equipment damage. Keep track of equipment rental
- Coordinate with all subcontractors, and different crafts as necessary
- Communicate all mobilizations 72hrs in advance
- Communicate all trucking 24hrs in advance
- Communicate all staking and survey 72hrs in advance
- Communicate effectively, and maintain positive working relationship with inspectors
- Schedule all delivery dates for all critical path material and equipment.
- Take inventory of material delivered to jobsite
- Negotiate contract change orders and develop an effective defense against construction claims
- Make sure all change order work is signed or a field directive is signed before any work commences
- Resolve field problems expeditiously to minimize delays and claims.
- Perform overall quality control of the work (budget, schedule, plans, personnel's performance) and report regularly on project status to project manager
- Assure all work is put in place in the most cost-efficient and productive manner in accordance with specs
- Responsible for compliance with all OSHA (and state agencies) regulations and company safety policies and procedures.
- Conduct weekly toolbox meetings and perform weekly safety inspections
- Maintain EEO goals
- Performs project close out and ensures punch-list is completed in a timely manner. Perform project close out meeting and ensures all punch-lists are completed .
