Full Job Description

About the Role:
CGS is seeking a talented/driven individual to join our production team. Welder training and testing will be provided. You will be required to pass a welder certification test in accordance with AWS D1.2. The test includes both vertical 3G and flat 1G positions on 3/8” and 1/8” thick plate. Back gouging is performed on all tests. The Welder will be responsible for the GTAW (TIG) welding of our aluminum products. This position requires the use of a variety of tools and techniques to connect aluminum framed windows together. They provide excellent and precise windows for our customers. As unique situations present themselves the selected candidate must be sensitive to internal customer needs, corporate goals, and company reputation. The selected candidate will be based out of our Trumbauersville, PA location and will report to the Production Supervisor.

Responsibilities:

Will you be responsible for performing all necessary GTAW (TIG) welding in the manufacturing of the aluminum door and window frames?
Can you maintain a clean work environment and ensure that all welding equipment is properly stored, cleaned, and maintained?
Will you be responsible for performing all the necessary welding preparations on the products?
Are you comfortable with working in a team environment?
Are you able to perform all established welding safety and environmental policies and practices and ensuring all safety and environmental policies and practices are followed by co-workers?

You will succeed in this position if you:

Have GTAW (TIG) welding experience.
Have good problem-solving skills, root cause analysis, and corrective action skills.
Are able to read and comprehend written work instructions.
Are open to new ideas and implementing changes to the manufacturing processes.
Have integrity and strong work ethic.
Demonstrate the ability to think strategically.
Have excellent communications skills, both verbal and written.
