Full Job Description

Albertsons Safeway is working to become the favorite food and drug retailer in every market it serves. The organization includes 2,230 stores, 27 distribution facilities and 19 manufacturing plants with over 250,000 employees across 34 states and the District of Columbia. The company has supermarkets across the country that include: Albertsons, Safeway, Vons, Pavilions, Randalls, Tom Thumb, Carrs, ACME, Jewel-Osco, Lucky, Shaw’s, Star Market, Super Saver, United Supermarkets, Market Street and Amigos.

The hourly range is $23.40 to $36.00 per hour. Benefits may include medical, dental, vision, disability and life insurance, sick pay (accrued based on hours worked), PTO/Vacation Pay (accrued based on hours worked) or Flexible Time Off, paid holidays (8-9 days annually), bereavement pay, and retirement benefits (such as 401(k) eligibility).

***This is a swing shift position, Wednesday through Saturday from 1:00pm to 11:30pm.

The Facilities Maintenance Department has an opening for a Facilities Maintenance Engineer on the graveyard shift (10:00PM to 6:30AM). This position is a permanent position and is located in Auburn, Washington.

REQUIREMENTS

Minimum 4 years maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
Perform routine maintenance on industrial grade manufacturing equipment.
Possess ability to follow written instructions found on PM work orders.
Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and plumbing systems.
Experience working with 110-480V systems; AC & DC control systems.
Ability to read and understand schematics and blueprints
Demonstrate ability to troubleshoot problems on an individual and group level.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Provide verbal feedback to management, mechanics, and machine operators about downtime root causes, repair progress status, and process improvement opportunities on the manufacturing and shop floor.
Possess the writing skills to track and report daily maintenance activities, update PM work orders, and complete maintenance-related paperwork
Familiar with Programmable Logic Controller operations
Interpret and make repairs using service manuals
Proficient at multi-tasking, recognizing priorities, and working with minimal supervision
Welding - TIG, MIG, Stick, etc. Stainless/Sanitary helpful, but not required
Must be safety conscious and follow all safety policies and procedures
