Responsibilities

Provide leadership and direction for housekeeping and laundry activities for the resort, ensuring high standards of cleanliness for both the guest rooms, casitas and public areas.
Inspect guest rooms and public areas for cleanliness, repairs and orderliness. May also clean rooms and public areas based on occupancy and staffing.
Train, motivate, and coach staff members with a friendly and nurturing style.
Maintain a regularly scheduled cleaning program.
Submit work orders to maintenance department.
Ensure that operational and safety procedures are followed.
Prepare the weekly staff schedule.
Maintain cleaning supplies and linen inventories.
Update room status’ in the computer.
Ensure housekeeping requests from guests or management are responded to in a timely, efficient, and friendly manner.

Requirements:

At least one year of hotel or resort housekeeping supervisory experience.
Bi-lingual (Spanish and English). Must be able to read, write, understand and speak the English language. Ability to organize and communicate well both verbally and in writing.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with many types of personalities.
Computer literate.
High School diploma or equivalent required.
General knowledge of cleaning chemicals and their safe use.
Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds and carry up to 20 pounds.
Must be able to spend the majority of the day walking, twisting, bending, pushing, pulling, climbing stairs and moving throughout the resort’s 20 developed acres.
Experience driving a golf cart or similar vehicle.
Meticulous attention to detail.
Must be able to work under pressure, in a fast-paced environment with multiple interruptions.
Must be flexible in hours and days worked; weekend work is mandatory.
