Essential Duties and Responsibilities*
- Safely erect and install structural steel components at construction sites, ensuring alignment with project specifications.
- Accurately read and follow blueprints and engineering plans to execute on-site structural work.
- Perform on-site welding and joining of steel components, ensuring structural integrity and alignment with design themes.
- Work closely with superintendents, project managers, and other construction team members to ensure seamless integration of steel structures into the overall theme.
- Conduct on-site inspections and quality checks of steel structures, addressing any issued promptly.
- Operate tools, heavy machinery and equipment required for on-site steelwork.
- Interpret blueprints and design documents to accurately fabricate steel structures
- Strictly adhere to safety requirements and equipment guidelines.
- Follow all company policies and procedures.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
Knowledge and Skill
- Demonstrated experience in structural steel erection and assembly in a construction environment.
- Skilled in welding and fabrication techniques.
- Strong commitment to safety, with knowledge of industry-standard safety practices.
- Capacity to apply common sense to detailed instructions and handle standardized situations.
- Proficiency in reading and understanding blueprints is preferred.
- Forklift and light equipment operations experience is a plus.
- OSHA/safety training is preferred.

Physical Demands
- Tasks involve handling, standing, walking, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling.
- Excellent vision including close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception.
- Capacity to lift 70 lbs. from floor to waist, 90 lbs. from waist to chest, 25 lbs. from chest to overhead, carry 50 lbs. over a distance of 50 ft., push a 100 lbs. wheeled cart over a distance of 100 ft., and drag 50 lbs. over a distance of 100 ft.
Work Environment
- Exposed to typical construction noises, smells, fumes, airborne particles, and machinery.
- Moderate to loud noise levels.
