Full Job Description

Hourly Rate: $19-$22/hour + Order writer Commissions
Summary:
The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for handling customer inquiries promptly and effectively in a fast-paced, team oriented environment. This position is also responsible for providing support to Acme’s Outside Sales Team by entering and following up on customer orders to ensure a smooth sales process.
Duties & Responsibilities:

Greets and assists all incoming showroom customers in a friendly and professional way ;
Completes all transactions and necessary paperwork accurately and in a timely manner;
Assists customers in making product selections by asking questions and actively listening in order to identify customer needs;
Ability to handle multiple customers simultaneously while maintaining a friendly professional and positive attitude;
Researches and sources product for customers using a variety of tools, including but not limited to: Eclipse, catalogs, websites, and industry and store contacts;
Enters sales orders with accuracy and attention to detail;
Proactively communicates with customers about expected delays or issues with their order;
Gathers detailed information from customers, including contact name, phone, address delivery, contact information, and the purchase order;
Follows up promptly on all customer requests for information;
Develops good working relationships and rapport with customers;
Resolves customer complaints and disputes in a timely, professional;
Communicates any customer complaints with their immediate supervisor;
Maintains the highest standards in cleanliness and appearance of your work area;
Maintains a professional appearance; Is organized and orderly;
Maintain Invoice queue daily;
Maintains backorders daily;
Maintain will calls every two weeks;
Follows the directives of the Branch & Regional Manager;
Works as needed in the warehouse, following the material handling position guide.

Qualifications:

High school degree or equivalent;
Minimum of two years in a customer service related role;
Problem solving skills: listening to, interpreting and meeting the needs of others by diagnosing and rectifying problems;
Demonstrated understanding and application of effective sales strategies and techniques;
Ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner;
Skilled in building long term customer relationships;
Ability to maintain a positive and friendly demeanor;
General knowledge of products, concepts and the industry as a whole;
General knowledge of math, including but not limited to: add, subtract, multiply, divide, and calculate margins discounts and percentages;
Skilled in proactively communicating in both oral and written form to all departments within the company;
Ability to work productively in teams with a wide range of people;
Ability to work independently with minimal direction;
Ability to follow written and oral instructions, documented procedures and Company policy.

Physical Requirements:

The employee is regularly required to sit; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel a computer mouse or other computer equipment; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear; use hands and arms to reach for, grasp and manipulate objects;
The employee is occasionally required to stand; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl;
May be required to remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time while on the telephone, or while operating or using office equipment and computers, or while writing;
May be required to move or traverse considerable distances in the facility during the course of a workday.

Working Conditions:

Must function equally well in both an office and warehouse environment.
