Full Job Description

Every day at Lannon Stone, Weighmasters interact with hundreds of truck drivers. The drivers need directions, have questions about products and billing, and need help getting accurate tickets for the job they’re doing. Weighmasters stay on top of the latest trends with legal capacities for trucks and materials needed for different types of construction projects so that they can be the most helpful and friendly person in each driver’s day.

Job Functions

Develop a deep understanding of products manufactured by LSP, and their applications
Build rapport with customers and truck drivers, establishing positive relationships
Identify and manage new trucks & customers, empty weights, and visually identify loaded products
Create new orders based on in-bound calls, emails, and discussion with truck drivers
Ensure proper billing of all tickets and reviewing to confirm accuracy, including tax exemption
Provide directions and traffic information to optimize truck usage each day
Provide safety training and direction for site visitors and record Daily Workplace Inspections
Responsible for the cleanliness and safety of the office and surrounding grounds
Maintain a clean and well-groomed appearance. Grooming styles dictated by religion and ethnicity are not restricted
Maintain safe walk ways around office spaces during winter
Flex as needed to multiple sites to support scale operations
Support assorted clerical tasks such as updating equipment hours and ordering supplies & fuel

While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to sit for long periods of time and occasionally crawl, climb, stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, and lift (25 lbs.).

Working Environment

Up to 100% of time spent in an office with exposure to manufacturing environments around industrial equipment. Environment will be dusty and at times experience loud noises with exposure to miscellaneous industrial odors. Work does not require travel within the day but may require the coverage of similar positions at other locations. Hours are seasonal, based on the needs of the customer, generally 6am until 5pm Monday through Friday, and 6am until 12pm Saturdays.

Minimum Qualifications

Math, reading, and writing skills (English at minimum, Spanish is a plus)
Professional written and oral communication
2+ years in fast-paced customer service position
Expertise with Windows, Microsoft Word and Excel, Google Drive.
Punctual and reliable, excellent attendance required
Maintain a clean and well-groomed appearance, company branded items will be provided
Embrace a team environment where all members contribute to the success of the operation
Willing to work in a multi-disciplinary environment, learning and performing a variety of jobs
Must past pre-employment physical and drug screen
