Full Job Description

Role Description:

The Purchaser/Production Scheduler is responsible to purchase raw materials used in the manufacturing of precast concrete products, including project specific items and scheduling all precast concrete products for production based on incoming materials and customer demands, while ensuring M&W company goals are met.

General Responsibilities and Duties:

With direction from plant management personnel, purchase all materials needed to successfully and efficiently manufacture precast concrete products
In coordination with Project Management, purchase all project specific material, and communicate material delivery dates accordingly
Establish relationships with multiple vendors to ensure best pricing and delivery timelines are met
Confirm all materials are purchased and received prior to scheduling production
Coordinate with Receiving/Inventory Clerk to ensure and track that all purchases are received, marked, and stored properly
Prepare monthly, weekly, and daily precast concrete production schedules utilizing Titan precast software
Collaborate with multiple internal departments to facilitate efficient production workflow to ensure project and customer delivery dates are met
Identify and clearly communicate potential production issues and high priority projects to plant management
Create, maintain, and communicate project schedules for internal and external customers
Adjust schedules to meet unforeseen production conditions and customer demands
Notify M&W upper management of any potential issues with projects & customers
Perform all duties in a safe and efficient manner, while observing all company policies and regulations
To ensure efficient operations, complete and submit in a timely manner, all necessary department and personnel forms appropriate for given situations.
Attend and participate in assigned company sponsored meetings and/or training sessions.

Required Skills/Abilities:

Eligible to work in the U.S
Reliable transportation to get you back and forth to work
Flexibility to work minimum 40+ hours per week
Able to communicate clearly and effectively
Strong problem-solving skills
Ability to work in a fast paced and changing environment
Able to handle a variety of tasks with little supervision
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software
Ability to work in a team
Knowledge of raw materials, production & quality control processes, shipping of precast pieces to effectively schedule the manufacturing of precast concrete products
Ability to read precast concrete blueprints

Physical Requirements:

Sitting, standing, or walking at different periods of time
Exposure to fluctuating weather conditions including extreme cold or heat

Education and Experience:

Minimum 5 years in the precast concrete industry
Proficient in the use of Titan 3000 precast management software a plus

Schedule:

Monday through Friday, minimum 40 hrs. Overtime may be required to meet project schedules.

Pay Range: Dependent upon experience
