Job Title: Manager - Capital Markets & Treasury

SimplyHome is seeking a seasoned Capital Markets and Treasury Manager to join our dynamic team. This role will play a pivotal role in our continued success by helping to oversee the company's financial resources, managing liquidity, optimizing capital structure specific to the real estate industry, and executing strategic transactions in the capital markets. You will be a key advisor to senior leadership on financial matters and a vital contributor to the company's overall financial health and stability. Capital Markets Responsibilities:
- Manage the company's debt portfolio, including loan agreements, lines of credit, and other debt instruments.
- Analyze and manage financial risks associated with debt, including interest rate risk and credit risk.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize the company's capital structure and minimize borrowing costs.
- Monitor and forecast future debt needs, ensuring timely renewals or refinancing.
- Ensure compliance with all debt covenants and reporting requirements.
- Maintain strong relationships with key lending institutions.
- Prepare financial reports and presentations for senior management on debt activities.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including property management, accounting, and legal departments to ensure alignment and execution of financing strategies.
Treasury Responsibilities:
- Manage the company's cash flow and liquidity, ensuring sufficient funds are available to meet financial obligations.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize cash flow, minimize idle balances, and maximize returns on surplus funds.
- Oversee bank account management, including establishing and maintaining relationships with financial institutions.
- Forecast future cash flow needs (13-week cash flow) and develop plans to meet those needs, including short-term borrowing strategies.
- Prepare financial reports and presentations for senior management on treasury activities.
- Strong understanding of debt financing instruments, loan structures, and risk management principles.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of capital markets and treasury management systems.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with lenders.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and financial modeling software.
- Friendly and welcoming demeanor with the ability to maintain professionalism and a strong customer-focused demeanor with demanding clientele.
- Excellent time management skills, detail-orientation and ability to multi-task and prioritize work.
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills, along with advanced conflict resolution skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills and proficient in English. Must be able to articulate needs and convey information verbally and in writing effectively with employees, customers, supervisors, and co-workers throughout the organization.
- Knowledge of management methods and sound employee relations techniques with an ability to connect to staff, troubleshoot problems and help teams collaborate, as necessary.

- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, real estate, or related field required.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in real estate finance, Treasury, FP&A, or related field required.
